Ann Arbor Tr. between Harvey St. and Forest Ave.- An alternate route will be Harvey south to Wing St. east to Main St. north to Ann Arbor Tr. Forest Ave. and Ann Arbor Tr. businesses will be open during this time. Pedestrian and sidewalk traffic will be available in this area.

29th Annual Plymouth Ice Festival Starts TODAY!

The Plymouth Ice Festival will be taking place in downtown Plymouth starting today. As a result of this event there will be several road closures in the immediate downtown area. In addition, there will be several parking restrictions that will go into effect this week. The Plymouth Gathering will be closed for public parking effective today.

Drivers can expect that parking will be restricted on all sides of Kellogg Park. In addition, there will be some parking restrictions on Union Street near Penniman. The following Road Closures are anticipated to go into effect as follows:

MAIN STREET – NORTHBOUND ONLY – From Ann Arbor Trail to Penniman is anticipated to close on Thursday, January 20th starting at 5:00 p.m. This section of roadway will be closed until Monday, January 24th.

ANN ARBOR TRAIL – WESTBOUND ONLY – From Union/Deer to Main Street. This section of roadway is anticipated to be closed from THURSDAY, January 20th at 5:00 p.m. This section of roadway will be closed until Monday, January 24th.

UNION STREET – SOUTHBOUND ONLY – From Roe to Ann Arbor Trail is anticipated to be closed from Thursday, January 20th through Monday, January 24th.

FOREST AVE – From Ann Arbor Trail to Wing – This section of Roadway is anticipated to be closed starting Friday, January 21st through Monday, January 24th.

PENNIMAN AVE. – From Main Street to Union Street – This section of Penniman is expected to be closed starting at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18th through Monday, January 24th.

PENNIMAN AVE. – From Harvey Street to Main Street – This section of Roadway is anticipated to be closed starting Friday, January 21st through Monday, January 24th.

Road Closures for the City of Plymouth 55th Annual Plymouth Community Fall Festival

The City of Plymouth will be hosting the 55th Annual Plymouth Community Fall Festival September 10th through September 12th. As a result of this event there are several road closures that are now going into effect. During the Fall Festival there will be restrictions on parking and pay for parking options in some municipal parking lots.

The following roads will be closed from Thursday, September 9th at 10:00 a.m. through Monday, September 13th at 4:00 a.m.

MAIN STREET – From Fralick Street to Wing Street
PENNIMAN – From Harvey Street to Union Street
ANN ARBOR TRAIL – From Forest Ave. to Union Street
UNION STREET – From Ann Arbor Trail to East Central Parking Lot Entrance

Local traffic and access to free on-street parking will be available on Forest Ave throughout the festival. To access Forest Ave. simply proceed eastbound on Ann Arbor Trail from Harvey Street. There will be no parking on Ann Arbor Trail.

During all major events some municipal parking lots will be charging for parking. The Central Parking Deck and the East Central Parking Lots will be charging for parking. The fee is $5.00 per entry. Advance sale discount parking passes are available at the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce Office.

In addition; during the Fall Festival there will be a Food Pantry Drive for the Plymouth Salvation Army. Dry Goods can be dropped off at the Rotary Chicken Dinner Ticket Booth at at Ann Arbor Trail and Main Street for collection by the Salvation Army.

Downtown Plymouth In a MOVIE!!

Next Monday and Tuesday, July 19th and 20th Downtown Plymouth near Kellogg Park is expecting a Major Film Project to be using the area in and around the park! Film work is expected start early Monday morning and go well into the evening. Due to this filming schedule traffic flows at various times on the following streets as well as parking may be affected:

  • Main Street – Between Ann Arbor Trail and Penniman
  • Ann Arbor Trail – Between Main and Elizabeth
  • Union/Deer Street – Between Roe and Maple Street
  • PENNIMAN – Between Main and Union

There are currently pre-production crews in the City working on installing a film set in the parking lot next to the Box Bar on Ann Arbor Trail. Additional crews are anticipated to arrive over the weekend to install additional large equipment for the production in Kellogg Park prior to filming on Monday and Tuesday.
